Multi Store Addons for WooCommerce users can add a shipping zone with local pickup, table rate shipping, and store rate shipping options.
In this article, we will show you how to assign various stores to a shipping zone that uses any one of the above shipping methods.
Step 1 – Create a Shipping Zone with Your Preferred Shipping Method #
Firstly, you will need to create a shipping zone using your preferred shipping method.
In this article, we will use the local pickup method as an example, but you can follow the same steps for table rate shipping or store rate shipping as well.
To create a shipping zone with local pickup, please follow the below steps:
- Log in to your WordPress account
- On the WordPress dashboard, click on the “WooCommerce” plugin tab and click on the “Settings” option
- On the next page, click on the “Shipping” tab, and you will arrive at the “Shipping Zones” page
- Click on the “Add zone” button to create a new shipping zone
- Give the zone a name and assign a region to the zone
- Click on the “Add shipping method”, select the “Local Pickup” option, and click on “Continue”
- In the below example, we selected the local pickup shipping method
- Note: you can even add other shipping methods besides local pickup in the same shipping zone; all the shipping methods will appear on the cart page
- For the next step, add a custom name for the local pickup shipping method, and click on “Create”
- Finally, click on “Save Changes”
Once you are done, a shipping zone with local pickup will be created.
As we mentioned before, you can follow the above steps to create a shipping zone with other shipping methods that are available through the Multi Store Addons for WooCommerce.
Step 2 – Enable Store-wise Shipping Methods #
Note: before you can assign stores to a created shipping zone you will first need to complete the below prerequisite tasks:
- Go to your WordPress dashboard
- Click the Agile Store Locator plugin (A Store Locator) and select the “WooCommerce” tab
- You will arrive at the Multi Store Addon for WooCommerce page; click on the “Global” tab
- On the “Store Visibility” field, select the “All Stores” option, this will allow you to display all of your stores on your website, regardless of whether or not it has products in stock
- Enable the “Store-wise Shipping Methods” field, enabling this feature will allow you to assign different stores to various store locations
Step 3 – Assign Stores to the Shipping Zone #
Once a shipping zone with any of the 3 shipping methods (local pickup, table rate, or store rate shipping) is created, we can choose which stores will offer a particular shipping option by assigning those stores to the shipping zone.
We will now show you how you can assign stores to a local pickup, table rate, and store rate shipping zone.
Assigning Stores to a Local Pickup Shipping Zone #
To assign stores to the local pickup shipping zone, please follow the below steps:
- Go to your WordPress dashboard
- Click the Agile Store Locator plugin (A Store Locator) and select the “WooCommerce” tab
- You will arrive at the Multi Store Addon for WooCommerce page; click on the “Local Pickup” tab
- To assign stores to a shipping zone, click on the “Assign Stores” button on the shipping zone you want to add stores for
- Click on the “Shipping methods” sub-tab; here you will see all the shipping zones you created with the local pickup shipping method, as well as the number of stores currently assigned to each zone
- On the next page, you will see a list of all your stores; to assign a store, click on the “On/Off” button on the far right side of the screen
- Similarly, you unassign a store by disabling the “On/Off” button
- Click on the “Back to Settings” button when you are done
Once you assign a store to the shipping zone, you will get a notification confirming that the store has been assigned to the shipping zone.
Assigning Stores to a Table Rate Shipping Zone #
To assign stores to a table rate shipping zone, please follow the below steps:
- Go to your WordPress dashboard
- Click the Agile Store Locator plugin (A Store Locator) and select the “WooCommerce” tab
- You will arrive at the Multi Store Addon for WooCommerce page; click on the “Shipping Costs” tab
- Click on the “Shipping methods” sub-tab; here you will see all the shipping zones you created with the table rate shipping method, as well as the number of stores currently assigned to each zone
- To assign stores to the table rate shipping zone, click on the “Assign Stores” button on the shipping zone you want to add stores to
- On the next page, you will see a list of all your stores; to assign a store, click on the “On/Off” button on the far right side of the screen
- Similarly, you unassign a store by disabling the “On/Off” button
- Click on the “Back to Settings” button when you are done
Once you assign a store to the shipping zone, you will get a notification confirming that the store has been assigned to the table rate shipping zone.

To assign stores to a store rate shipping zone, please follow the below steps:
- Go to your WordPress dashboard
- Click the Agile Store Locator plugin (A Store Locator) and select the “WooCommerce” tab
- You will arrive at the Multi Store Addon for WooCommerce page; click on the “Store Rate” tab
- Here you will see all the shipping zones you created with the store rate shipping method, as well as the number of stores currently assigned to each zone
- To assign stores to the table rate shipping zone, click on the “Assign Stores” button on the shipping zone you want to add stores to
- On the next page, you will see a list of all your stores; to assign a store, click on the “On/Off” button on the far right side of the screen
- Similarly, you unassign a store by disabling the “On/Off” button
- Click on the “Back to Settings” button when you are done
Once you assign a store to the shipping zone, you will get a notification confirming that the store has been assigned to the store rate shipping zone.
Step 4 – Enable the Shipping Method #
Before we can see how the various shipping options will work in our store, we must first enable the shipping method through the Multi Store Addons for WooCommerce.
How to Enable the Local Pickup Shipping Method #
To enable local pickup, please follow the below steps:
- On the WordPress dashboard, click the Agile Store Locator plugin (A Store Locator) and select the “WooCommerce” tab
- You will arrive at the Multi Store Addon for WooCommerce page; click on the “Local Pickup” tab
- Enable the “Local Pickup with Store Selection” option
- Finally, click on the “Save Settings” button
Now, the local pickup shipping method has successfully been enabled for your WooCommerce store.
How to Enable the Table Rate Shipping Method #
To enable the table rate shipping method, please follow the below steps:
- On the WordPress dashboard, click the Agile Store Locator plugin (A Store Locator) and select the “WooCommerce” tab
- You will arrive at the Multi Store Addon for WooCommerce page; click on the “Shipping Costs” tab
- Enable the “Table Rate Shipping” option
- Finally, click on the “Save Settings” button
Now, the table rate shipping method has successfully been enabled for your WooCommerce store.
How to Enable the Store Rate Shipping Method #
To enable the store rate shipping method, please follow the below steps:
- On the WordPress dashboard, click the Agile Store Locator plugin (A Store Locator) and select the “WooCommerce” tab
- You will arrive at the Multi Store Addon for WooCommerce page; click on the “Store Rate” tab
- Enable the “Store Shipping Rate” option
- Finally, click on the “Save Settings” button
Now, the store rate shipping method has successfully been enabled for your WooCommerce store.
Step 5 – Test the Shipping Method #
Once all the above steps are done, you will be able to test the shipping method on your WooCommerce store.
In the below example, we will show you how to test the local pickup shipping method.
To see how the local shipping option works on your WooCommerce store, please follow the below steps:
- On your WordPress dashboard, click on the “Products” tab below the “WooCommerce” tab and select the “All Products” option
- Select a product and click on the “View” button for the product
- Add the product to the cart
- Go to the cart page; there will be an option to collect the product using local pickup
- Click on the “Select Store” button to choose one of the stores you assigned to the local pickup shipping zone
- Select a store, and it will appear on the cart page
Once you select a store, you will be taken to the checkout page to complete the purchase. After completing the checkout, you will be provided a summary of your order, which includes the store details, shipping details, and shipping method.
