Where do I add my license code?

The license code is prompted on the Import/Export page of the store locator, in case it doesn’t prompt for you, that means you have already authenticated.

Moving License from Staging to Production Site?

Agile Store Locator allows two registrations—one for development and one for production—provided the support license is active. If the support license has expired, only a single registration (either for development or production) will be allowed.

If you have moved your development site to production and need to apply the license code to the production site, you can update it from the ASL Settings Dashboard. Simply click the “Refresh” button and enter your purchase code.

Do I have to attach my credit card to Google?

Yes, a Google API Key with a billing account linked is required. Since 2018, Google has made it mandatory to associate an active credit or debit card with the Google Cloud Console.

Do I have to pay for Google Maps?

Google Maps usage is free for most websites, with a monthly limit of $200 USD. Unless your usage exceeds this threshold, no charges will be incurred. It is important to ensure that the referrer is set up correctly when configuring the API keys, we have been running our Agile Store Locator demos for years, and for us, we have never been charged a single cent, but if your traffic is quite high then you will be charged for the amount exceed the $200 USD free tier limit.

Can I disable the Place Search API?

Yes, it is possible to disable the Google Place Search API and instead enable the geocoding API as an alternative solution.

Can I disable the Direction API?

Absolutely. The Direction API can be disabled, allowing users to choose to open directions in the Google Maps application instead of displaying them directly within Store Locator.

Can we create a store locator without using Google Maps?

Yes, it is possible to create a store locator without utilizing Google Maps by utilizing the List Template feature provided by the Store Locator plugin. This template does not rely on Google Maps for rendering the store locations. Instead, you can enable the Geocoding API option, which allows you to geocode addresses and display the store listings in a list format without a map interface. This alternative approach provides flexibility for users who prefer a non-map-based store locator experience.

1. Log in to your account.
2. Hover over your username and click on ‘Downloads’ in the drop-down menu.
3. Locate the item you want to extend or renew support for in the downloads list.
4. Click on ‘Renew support now!’ or ‘Extend now’ next to the item.
5. Follow the prompts to complete the support renewal process.

Please note that you can only renew support if you have less than 6 months remaining on your existing support period and if the author is still offering support for the item.

If you wish to transfer your license to a different domain, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Deactivating the Pro Build

1. Deactivate the pro build from the existing domain where the license is currently active.
2. Ensure that the pro version is no longer active on the original domain.

Step 2: Providing the Purchase Code

1. Once you have completed the deactivation process mentioned in Step 1, please provide us with your purchase code.
2. You can find your purchase code in the confirmation email or on your account dashboard.

Step 3: License Validation and Renewal

1. Our team will validate the deactivation process from Step 1.
2. Once confirmed, we will renew your license purchase code for the new domain.
3. You will receive an updated license code that can be used on the new domain.

Please note:

• If you wish to use the license on a staging site within the same domain, you can register the license twice: once for the development server and once for the production server. Both licenses can be used simultaneously.
• The above license transfer process is specifically for transferring the license to a different domain.

At times users will notice that the store locator plugin is not automatically updating.

Solution

If such a problem is experienced, please follow the below steps to enable automatic updates.

1. Firstly, go to https://envato.com/market-plugin/
2. Secondly, download the latest version of the plugin

3. Follow the below instruction on installing the file
   1. Download the zip file
   2. Login to your WordPress Dashboard
   3. Go to Plugins > Add New
   4. Click “Upload Plugin” at the top
   5. Upload the envato-market.zip file
   6. Once installed, click “Activate Plugin”
   7. Visit the new “Envato Market” menu item

 4. Go to build.envato.com to generate the API token

5. Lastly, paste the token on your WordPress website

Once this is done the Agile Store Locator plugin will have no trouble updating. Furthermore, automatic updates will now occur.

Solution 2: How to Manually Update the Store Locator

To manually update Agile Store Locator, please follow the below steps:

1. Download the latest version of our plugin (Make sure the version you download is above 4.7.14) from codecanyon.net.
2. Deactivate the current build
3. Upload and activate the newly downloaded build of the plugin

Once you do this, Agile Store Locator will manually update.

How to Upgrade from the Older Version to the Latest Version of the Store Locator Plugin

If you are using a version of the plugin that is older (less) than 4.7.10 then please follow the below steps to upgrade to the latest version of our plugin:

1. Download the latest version of our plugin from codecanyon.net.
2. De-activate the current build
3. Upload and activate the newly downloaded build of the plugin

Purchasing the plugin gives you a regular license that is usable for one website. However, the license is usable twice for registration, once for development, and once for production. In addition, this license is valid for a lifetime for the registered site, to learn more about the pricing of the plugin visit the plugin pricing.

Solution: Therefore, to prevent any customization to the store locator templates from being removed, it is recommended to backup the template into the theme root directory. Furthermore, to backup your templates simply click on the “Backup Template” on the store locator dashboard and click on “Backup”. As a result, your template customizations will not be affected by any updates.

1. Deactivate the Current Build:
   • Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
   • Navigate to the “Plugins” section and locate the Agile Store Locator plugin.
   • Click on the “Deactivate” link below the plugin name to deactivate the older build.
2. Download and Install the Latest Version:
   • Visit codecanyon.net and go to your download section.
   • Find the Store Locator plugin in the list and click on the “Download” button next to it.
   • Save the downloaded file to your computer.
3. Upload and Activate the New Build:
   • Return to your WordPress dashboard.
   • Navigate to the “Plugins” section and click on the “Add New” button at the top.
   • Choose the option to upload a plugin.
   • Select the newly downloaded file of the Store Locator plugin from your computer and click on the “Install Now” button.
   • After the installation is complete, click on the “Activate” button to activate the updated plugin.

Upgradation for existing version below 4.6.10 (Older Version)

If your existing version is below 4.6.10, please make sure not to delete the older version until you feel that the store locator upgrade is successful, once you have successfully upgraded and all your markers and logos are visible, you can delete the older version.
